Our History
Physical Security was founded in 2006 in Bessemer, Alabama. We made our start in the blast-resistant glazing space, securing high-profile federal buildings including the Pentagon and the Oklahoma City Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building after attacks on those facilities. We soon expanded into other industries with Terminal C at the Raleigh-Durham Airport, Children’s Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, and Chevron’s Permian Basin headquarters building in Midland, Texas.
In 2015, we entered the hurricane-resistant curtain wall market with an office in South Florida. Today, we are the leading contractor for design, fabrication and installation of pressure equalized curtainwall systems for hurricane impact and won the Best Protective Glazing Project award from Glass Magazine for our work on Terminal C of the Orlando International Airport.
As one of the few suppliers that still design, fabricate and install our own systems, Physical Security now employs 160 professionals and operates a 20-acre, 90,000-square-foot manufacturing facility.
